HDG Mansur completed the acquisition of the Overwatch Systems office building in Austin, Texas, on behalf of a fund it manages. The newly constructed office building developed by Transwestern Austin was a build-to-suit building for Overwatch Systems Ltd., which was recently acquired by a subsidiary of Textron, Inc.
The office building totals 164,700 sq. ft. and includes a six level parking garage. The building is situated on 48 heavily wooded acres in the desirable Southwest market. Permits are in place to construct an additional 123,500 sq. ft. building with a 500 space parking garage expansion.
"With some of the highest population and employment growth levels in the region, the Austin market continues to be one of the strongest in the United States," comments Harold D. Garrison, Chairman & CEO of HDG Mansur. "We are pleased to further our activity in the Austin area with this acquisition."
HDG Mansur was represented by Susan Routh, Director of Acquisitions in HDG's Dallas office. The seller was represented by Hale Umstattd of Transwestern Austin who represented the interests of Transwestern and one of their institutional partners.
